If you test positive for COVID-19 or think you may have COVID-19, please follow the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) guidance below to keep yourself and others safe.

Stay home and away from others (including people you live with who are not sick) if you have respiratory virus symptoms that aren't better explained by another cause. These symptoms can include fever, chills, fatigue, cough, runny nose, and headache, among others.*

You can go back to your normal activities when, for at least 24 hours, both are true:
- Your symptoms are getting better, and
- You have not had a fever (and are not using fever-rducing medication).
When you go back to your normal activities, take added precaution over the next 5 days, such as taking additional steps for cleaner air, hygiene, masks, physical distancing, and/or testing when you will be around other people indoors.
- Keep in mind that you may still be able to spread the virus that made you sick, even if you are feeling better. You are likely to be less contagious at this time, depending on factors like how long you were sick or how sick you were.
- If you develop a fever or you start to feel worse after you have gone back to normal activities, stay home and away from others again until, for at least 24 hours, both are true: your symptoms are improving overall, and you have not had a fever (and are not using fever-reducing medication). Then take added precaution for the next 5 days.

Frequently Asked Questions

What type of test will I get?

We offer rapid tests and PCR tests. Rapid test results are available in 15 minutes, while PCR results are available in 24-72 hours. The healthcare provider will discuss with you, which test is best for you.

Will I be seen by a healthcare provider?

Yes, you will be seen by a physician, physician assistant, or nurse practitioner.
You will have your temperature and oxygen saturation level checked and will receive an exam of your heart and lungs.

Will I be charged for the visit?

There is nothing to pay that day.
Your insurance will be billed for a patient visit and COVID-19 test.
If you do not have insurance coverage, we offer prompt pay options and sliding fee scale based on your annual household income and household size.

CFMC's Response to COVID-19

Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic we at CFMC are closely monitoring the CDC and KDPH recommendations and following them stringently within our facilities. We have had to change the way we do a few things in order to protect the health and wellbeing of our patients and staff during this vulnerable time. Please be understanding and know these measures have been implemented to ensure we protect our patients to the best of our abilities. Please keep in mind we treat sick people and we must have procedures in place to ensure a safe environment.

Here is what we have changed thus far:

We are limiting guests in our facilities. Aside from employees, we are encouraging patients to have one support person accompany them within the facility.
We encourage you to call before you come to be seen if you think you may have COVID-19.
We have posted signs on our exterior doors alerting patients if they think they have COVID-19 to return to their vehicle and call the clinic for instructions on how to receive care.
If it is suspected by the healthcare provider you may have COVID-19, you may be asked to stay in your vehicle for your visit. This will decrease the potential exposure to other patients and staff members.
If a member of our healthcare team comes to see you while wearing eye protection and a mask, do not be alarmed! These measures are necessary in certain situations to diminish the potential spread of COVID-19.
We have increased our Telehealth capabilities to help ensure you receive the quality healthcare you deserve! These can be utilized for certain medication refills, sick visits, behavioral health visits, and more!
We are encouraging social distancing by reducing patients in waiting areas.
We require employees to wear masks in our facilities as well as patients and guests who are able.
We are continuing to provide hand sanitizer and will encourage all patients, guests, and employees to use it upon entry into the building.
Although clean surfaces have always been important to us, in addition to our routine disinfecting, we have added scheduled times throughout the day to disinfect common touched surfaces to ensure a clean environment.

CMS releases FAQ on requirement to post cash price for diagnostic tests

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has posted a FAQ on the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act requirement which providers of COVID-19 diagnostic tests make public the cash price for the tests on their website during the public health emergency.

The FAQ also notes under the CARES Act and Families First Coronavirus Response Act, group health plans generally must reimburse providers of COVID-19 diagnostic tests at the negotiated rate or cash price, and cover certain COVID-19 diagnostic testing without cost sharing, prior authorization or other medical management requirements during the public health emergency.

This requirement continues for the duration of the COVID-19 public health emergency.
